In a clip posted on their Instagram accounts, fans got a short preview of the upcoming music video for “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay,” and to say it caught people off guard would be an understatement.

In the post, Pearce and Green are seen sitting close together and cuddled up, making for a pretty intimate moment.

A day before that, Pearce had shared a behind-the-scenes snippet that showed a hand gently running along her arm and leg. At the time, fans didn’t know who it belonged to since their face wasn’t shown.

Pearce also wiped her Instagram account, leaving only the photos and videos promoting the new album. It definitely makes it seem like this new duet is going to be something really special.

Carly Pearce And Riley Green Perform Their New Song Ahead Of Its Release

“If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay” won’t officially release until Friday, March 13. However, it seems Pearce and Green couldn’t wait that long to share it with fans.

The two recently gave the first full listen of the track during a live appearance together.

In a video shared by 95.5. The Bull, Pearce is seen on stage as she introduces Green to come out and perform for the small audience.

“I’ve gotten to sing with this person several times over the last few years, and I just felt that connection that I always look for when I am thinking about a collaborator,” Pearce told the crowd. “I think this is a really special song. It’s coming out March 13th. It’s called ‘If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay.’”

They then break into a slow-down acoustic version of the song. The lyrics appear to tell the story of a couple who know they probably shouldn’t be together, but they can’t manage to walk away.
