KBS 2TV’s romance drama A Love Other Than Yours, starring Seo Kang Joon and Ahn Eun Jin, has reached a new ratings low, with its latest episode falling below the two-percent mark for the first time.
According to Nielsen Korea, the October 11 broadcast recorded a nationwide viewership rating of just 1.9%. The figure represents a 0.4-percentage-point decline from the previous episode’s 2.3%, marking the lowest rating since the series premiered.
The latest result also marks the first time the drama has entered the one-percent range, extending its ongoing struggle to attract viewers.

Episode 8 introduces a turning point for the central couple
The latest episode focused on a major shift in the relationship between longtime couple Namgoong Ho, played by Seo Kang Joon, and Lee Mi Do, portrayed by Ahn Eun Jin.
After spending years together, the pair begin questioning the familiarity of their relationship and considering what might happen if they explored connections with other people for a limited period.

The storyline introduces a new direction for the couple, raising questions about their feelings for one another and whether their relationship can withstand the possibility of change.
However, the episode stopped short of revealing where their relationships might ultimately lead, leaving the consequences of their decision unresolved.
Romance developments fail to reverse ratings decline
Despite the significant development in the central romance, A Love Other Than Yours continued to lose ground in the ratings.
Its fall from 2.3% to 1.9% makes the latest broadcast the series’ weakest performance to date. Whether the evolving storyline will help the drama regain viewers in upcoming episodes remains to be seen.

The latest figures put the show at a challenging point as it continues to develop the complicated relationship between its two leads.
A Love Other Than Yours airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. KST on KBS 2TV.
