Riley Green had one of his toughest decisions yet on Season 30 of The Voice when two talented members of Team Riley, Allie Rae and Harmony McKee, faced off in the Battle Rounds.
On Monday, October 19, the 15-year-old Allie and 19-year-old Harmony joined forces for a memorable performance of Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine. Before taking their places on opposite sides of the stage, the two singers shared a quick handshake to wish each other luck.

Allie opened the performance with her distinctive vocals, earning approving reactions from Kelly Clarkson. Harmony soon followed with her own powerful voice, bringing a grittier sound that contrasted with Allie’s softer country style and Texas roots.
The two singers blended their different styles throughout the song, finishing with impressive harmonies that left the coaches impressed. They also showed how much they supported each other, making Riley’s decision even harder.
Kelly was the first coach to share her thoughts, praising Harmony’s powerful voice and saying, “It fills the room. It’s enormous. You’re the most beautiful resonance. It’s such a beautiful gift you have.”

She also admired Allie’s stage presence and unique style, noting how confidently the young singer moved toward the edge of the stage. In the end, Kelly admitted, “I would maybe lean a little towards Allie Rae.”
Adam Levine also picked Allie. He joked that he must have had a “temporary brain meltdown” during her Blind Audition because he failed to turn his chair for her. Although he praised both singers, Adam said he would choose Allie if he had to make the decision.
Queen Latifah highlighted Allie’s impressive high notes and praised Harmony for holding long notes so well. She even joked that she found herself wondering, “Where’s the breath in there?”
Riley Green reveals his winner

When Riley finally spoke, he said he was not surprised that both singers had delivered such a strong performance. He had been looking forward to their battle after watching them work together in rehearsals, but he also admitted he had been dreading the moment when he would have to send one of them home.
Riley first praised Allie’s natural talent and the distinctive way she delivered certain notes, saying he believed she had a great future ahead of her.
He then turned to Harmony, calling her “one of the most talented vocalists on the show” and praising how completely her voice filled the room.
Riley also appreciated the bond the two singers had developed during rehearsals. Despite their small age difference, he said Harmony had given him a big-sister vibe, which he loved seeing between the teammates.

Harmony agreed with the praise for her partner, chiming in, “She’s the best.”
Still, Riley could not avoid making his choice. He described the battle as “completely neck and neck,” adding that both singers had moments when they shined.
In the end, Riley chose Allie Rae as the winner, allowing the 15-year-old singer to continue with Team Riley and advance to Cut Week.
Afterward, Riley explained that his decision reflected the belief he had placed in Allie from the beginning.
“Allie Rae and Harmony was one of my favorite battles. I thought they did a great job complimenting each other,” he said. “I had to go with Allie Rae because she’s who I used my first in on, I believed in her from the get go, and I think she’s got a really great chance to go a long way in the show.”
The competition continues next Monday as The Voice returns with more Battle Round performances on NBC at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with episodes available to stream on Peacock the following day.
