Kev Orkian expressed his excitement after the event: “What an incredible experience in Southampton today, turning on the Christmas lights with a brilliant audience. The energy, the joy, and the festive spirit were truly magical. I’m beyond excited to return to the iconic Mayflower Theatre this year to star alongside the amazing Ashley Banjo and Diversity. This year’s show is going to be epic, packed with surprises, laughter, and unforgettable moments.”

The Bargate became the centerpiece of the festivities, featuring stunning animations of Father Christmas and his reindeer flying across the medieval gatehouse, while elves and fairies delighted spectators of all ages. The Ferris wheel in Guildhall Square offered visitors a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the spectacular light show.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, carol singers and street performers, including two lively dancing reindeer, entertained the crowd. Above Bar Street buzzed with excitement as the Christmas market welcomed shoppers. Among the vendors was People’s Pride Southampton, participating for the first time this year.
