Days of Our Lives Star Robert Kelker-Kelly’s Final Hours Revealed as Police Report Details Chest and Arm Pain Before His Death at 62

New details have emerged about the final hours of Robert Kelker-Kelly, the Days of Our Lives actor who died at age 62 on October 3, 2026. According to a police report obtained by PEOPLE, the actor experienced chest and arm pain shortly before his death, but declined his wife’s suggestion that he seek medical attention.

Kelker-Kelly’s wife, Allison Kelly, told authorities that she picked him up from Spirit Airport at approximately 7:30 p.m. on the night of his death. During their drive home, he reportedly complained of pain in his left arm and chest and asked her to pull over so he could vomit.

Kelly asked whether he needed to go to the hospital, but her husband requested to return home and rest instead, according to the report.

After they arrived, Kelker-Kelly was still experiencing pain and asked his wife to bring him an aspirin. When she returned to their bedroom from the kitchen, she found him unresponsive and not breathing. She then called 911 and attempted CPR.

The St. Charles County Ambulance District arrived at the couple’s Missouri home and attempted life-saving measures. However, Kelker-Kelly was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m., according to the police report.

Kelly told authorities that her husband had no known medical conditions and was not taking any prescribed medications. She also reported that he had not sustained any serious injuries or undergone surgery during the preceding year.

The St. Peters Police Department contacted the St. Charles County Medical Examiner, who released Kelker-Kelly with no further need for investigation. Police subsequently closed the case, according to the report. The report does not establish a specific medical cause of death.

Kelker-Kelly was a familiar face to daytime television audiences, having appeared in several popular soap operas during his career. He began working in daytime television in 1987, joining Another World as Sam Fowler.

He became best known for playing Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1995. He took over the role from Peter Reckell, who originated the character in 1983. Kelker-Kelly’s performance earned him the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in 1994.

Following his departure from Days of Our Lives, he continued acting in daytime television, joining General Hospital as Stavros Cassadine. He played the character from 2001 to 2002 before returning to the role in 2013 and 2014.
