When Witney Carson joined Dancing with the Stars Season 35 with Guillermo Rodriguez as her celebrity partner, she knew the season would be unlike anything she had done before.
Carson is currently pregnant with her third child, making her the first woman to compete on the show this far into a pregnancy. Before the season began, she admitted that taking on the challenge felt “daunting,” especially while balancing intense rehearsals with her pregnancy.

Now, Carson is 20 weeks pregnant and expecting another baby boy with her husband, Carson McAllister. As she continues competing, some fans have raised concerns about whether the demanding schedule could affect her health or her unborn baby.
Carson has now addressed those worries directly.

Following the Yacht Rock episode on September 29, the longtime DWTS pro spoke to fans through her Instagram Stories and assured them that she is carefully monitoring her health.
“Thank you to everyone who’s concerned about my health and the baby’s health while dancing,” Carson said. She explained that she has been dancing for years and knows her body well enough to recognize when she needs to slow down.
Carson also made it clear that her baby’s health comes first.

“So I have no reserve when it comes to speaking up about physically overdoing it,” she said, adding that Dancing with the Stars has been supportive and willing to make adjustments whenever necessary.
For now, Carson said she feels good, although she is more tired than usual. When she is not rehearsing, she said she is making sure to rest.
She also reassured fans that she is following her doctor’s guidance and has been cleared to continue her normal activities.

Witney Carson Has Strong Support Behind The Scenes
Carson isn’t going through the season alone. Her partner, Guillermo Rodriguez, has also been helping her throughout the competition.
According to Carson, Rodriguez often brings her homemade food for lunch and encourages her to rest when she needs to. The pair have also developed a strong bond as they continue their unlikely run on the show.

Many viewers initially expected Carson and Rodriguez to leave early because Rodriguez had openly admitted that dancing was not his strength. Instead, they have made it through three weeks and become one of the season’s most talked-about couples.
Even though they have consistently received some of the lowest scores from the judges, their popularity with viewers has helped keep them in the competition.
Carson’s pregnancy has also received support from a medical professional. After she shared a video of herself and Rodriguez playfully comparing their baby bumps, an OB/GYN praised her decision to continue dancing during pregnancy and supported the couple’s journey.
Now, Carson and Rodriguez are preparing to return to the ballroom for Week 4.
The pair will dance during Mariah Carey Night on Tuesday, October 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
