Joe Henley’s Latest Post Has The Voice Fans Saying the Same Thing After He Earned a Spot in the Live Shows

The Voice fans are flooding Joe Henley’s latest Instagram post with messages of support after the 19-year-old Alabama singer secured his place in the Live Shows. His emotional message of gratitude has also sparked excitement among viewers, with many already predicting he could win Season 30.

Joe earned his spot after delivering a powerful performance during the show’s first-ever Cut Week on November 2. The new round proved brutal for contestants, with coaches Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah, Adam Levine and Riley Green having to make difficult decisions that sent 16 artists home from the original group of 28.

Each coach selected two singers to advance directly to the Live Shows before choosing one more contestant from the remaining five performers. For Team Riley, those first two picks were Cade Mower and sister duo Ferryn & Brinkley.

That left Joe competing for the final spot, and he certainly made his last performance count.

Joe Henley Earned Riley Green’s Praise With Keith Whitley Cover

The 19-year-old Alabama native took on Keith Whitley’s 1988 country classic “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” delivering a performance that earned a rare standing ovation from all four coaches.

Kelly Clarkson was particularly impressed with his natural vocal style and immediately predicted a bright future for him.

“Oh my gosh, from the first notes out of your mouth, that natural style, your natural tone of your voice is incredible,” Kelly said. She added that she would be “mind-blown” if Joe didn’t make the finale.

However, it was Riley’s reaction that stood out. After praising Joe’s performance and calling him naturally talented, the country singer delivered a huge compliment.

“If I could sing like you, I wouldn’t answer the phone when Adam called. I would be so rich and famous,” Riley joked, referring to fellow coach Adam Levine.

Riley also praised Joe’s warm voice, explaining that it had a special quality that could make people stop what they were doing and pay attention.

The coach ultimately chose Joe as his third artist for the Live Shows, allowing him to join Cade Mower and Ferryn & Brinkley on Team Riley.
