After nearly three years together, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially said “I do” during a spectacular wedding celebration that transformed Madison Square Garden into one of the most exclusive venues in New York City.
The superstar couple exchanged vows on July 3 in front of approximately 1,000 guests, capping off a two-day celebration filled with celebrity appearances, strict secrecy and lavish décor.
The festivities began with an intimate rehearsal dinner on Thursday evening inside the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden, where roughly 100 of the couple’s closest family members and friends gathered. According to reports, the dinner featured catering from one of Swift’s favorite Italian restaurants, Sartiano’s, while pink and peach floral arrangements decorated the venue.
The main ceremony took place Friday evening, with guests arriving through heavily secured entrances hidden beneath massive white tents that shielded celebrities from public view. Hundreds of black SUVs transported attendees to the arena, where security measures included confidential invitations, non-disclosure agreements and tightly controlled logistics designed to keep every detail private.
Rather than traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen, the couple chose to honor family. Swift’s younger brother, Austin Swift, served as her man of honor, while Kelce’s older brother, Jason Kelce, stood beside him as best man.
Adding another memorable touch to the evening, actor and comedian Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony.
The guest list featured an impressive mix of Hollywood stars, music icons and sports legends, including Camila Cabello, Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Jason Sudeikis, Karlie Kloss, Kareem Hunt, Cooper Kupp, Joe Buck and many others.
Ahead of the wedding, Madison Square Garden underwent an extraordinary transformation. Event planners reportedly covered large sections of the arena with elaborate drapery to create a more intimate atmosphere inside the 20,000-seat venue.
Veteran event planner Joann Gregoli, who observed the preparations, explained that extensive ceiling-to-floor draping would have been necessary to convert the arena into an elegant wedding venue capable of hosting just a fraction of its normal capacity.
Outside the arena, excitement reached fever pitch as fans gathered throughout the day hoping to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds or their famous guests.
Among them were visitors from London, who described the atmosphere as being comparable to a British royal wedding because of the enormous security presence, celebrity arrivals and worldwide attention surrounding the event.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025, sharing a series of romantic proposal photos featuring Kelce kneeling before Swift in a rose-filled garden alongside a close-up of her vintage-style diamond engagement ring.
In the days leading up to the wedding, the couple also announced a $26 million charitable donation supporting organizations focused on education, children’s health, food insecurity and animal welfare, adding a philanthropic milestone to one of the year’s most talked-about celebrations.
From the elaborate décor and carefully guarded guest list to the emotional ceremony surrounded by family and friends, the wedding marked the beginning of a new chapter for one of entertainment and sports’ most high-profile couples.
