Prince Louis once again proved he may be the royal family’s undisputed master of facial expressions, delighting crowds with a series of hilarious and heartwarming reactions at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The eight-year-old royal attended the sporting event alongside his parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and his older brother, Prince George, 12.
While the athletes provided the action on the field, Louis quickly became a spectacle of his own. From wide-eyed amazement to uncontrollable laughter, the young prince delivered an endless stream of animated expressions as he watched the competition from the stands.
Louis looked every inch the polished young royal in a sky-blue Ralph Lauren shirt and navy trousers, while George matched his smart appearance in a crisp white linen shirt.

The brothers were seen chatting enthusiastically between events, reacting to the sporting action and seemingly entertaining nearby spectators with their animated exchanges.
Louis has developed a reputation for his expressive reactions during major royal appearances, first capturing the public’s attention during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. He went on to deliver more memorable moments at King Charles’ Coronation and Trooping the Colour, turning ordinary royal engagements into fan-favourite moments.
While George often maintains a more reserved and composed presence during public appearances, Louis appears far less interested in hiding exactly what he’s thinking.
And at the Commonwealth Games, his face once again told the entire story.
Future King and His Biggest Supporter
At one point, Prince George leaned toward Louis as the younger royal listened with wide-eyed excitement. The brothers appeared completely absorbed in the sporting action as they watched from the stands.

Trying on a Welsh Souvenir

Louis also couldn’t resist experimenting with a bright red “Beicio Cymru” bucket hat. He pulled the oversized hat down over his eyes before bursting into laughter, prompting smiles from those around him.
A Picture-Perfect Sibling Moment
The brothers later sat side by side as they watched the competition. George maintained his familiar composed expression, while Louis continued looking around the arena with obvious curiosity.
Too Much Excitement to Watch

During one particularly tense moment, Louis covered his face with both hands as the sporting drama unfolded. Whether he was unable to bear watching or simply caught up in the excitement, the reaction quickly became another classic Louis moment.
All Smiles
Whatever happened next on the field appeared to have a happy ending. Louis broke into one of his trademark huge grins while adjusting his new hat, once again giving photographers the kind of candid royal moment that fans love.
With every public appearance, Prince Louis seems to demonstrate that royal protocol doesn’t always have to mean keeping a straight face. At the Commonwealth Games, his spontaneous reactions once again made him one of the most entertaining young royals in the spotlight.
