The FIFA World Cup 2026 Final is set to make history with its first-ever halftime show, and the star-studded lineup has become even bigger.
Justin Bieber has officially been announced as a co-headliner alongside Madonna, Shakira and BTS for the groundbreaking performance, which will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at New York New Jersey Stadium.

Blending football, music and philanthropy on one of the world’s biggest stages, the landmark event will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aiming to raise USD 100 million to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.

A Global Stage for Music and Purpose
Beyond its blockbuster headliners, the 11-minute halftime spectacular will feature an impressive supporting lineup.
Burna Boy, whose global hit “Dai Dai” with Shakira continues to dominate international charts, is also set to perform. Joining him will be internationally acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel, Music and Artistic Director of the New York Philharmonic, along with the award-winning PS22 Chorus performing alongside Coldplay.
The show is being curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who described the production as a celebration of unity.
“It will be all about togetherness… and everyone’s invited,” Martin said in the short film unveiling the performers.
FIFA President Highlights Education Mission
According to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the halftime show is designed to leave an impact far beyond football.
“When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education.”
Infantino said FIFA is proud to welcome Justin Bieber alongside Madonna, Shakira and BTS in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and its mission to expand educational opportunities for children worldwide.
He added that Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay will help deliver a powerful message of unity and hope to billions of viewers around the globe.
Justin Bieber Reacts to the Historic Opportunity
Bieber said he is honored to be part of an event that combines entertainment with a meaningful cause.
“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”

Burna Boy Calls Performance a Responsibility
Burna Boy also reflected on the significance of representing Africa during the historic event.
“The FIFA World Cup is one of the few moments that truly brings the entire world together. To represent Africa on the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is a privilege and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly.”
He added that he is proud to participate in a performance that celebrates football and culture while helping create educational opportunities for children worldwide.
More Than $50 Million Already Raised

The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund has already raised more than USD 50 million, with momentum continuing to build ahead of the tournament.
As part of the initiative, USD 1 from every ticket sold for FIFA World Cup 2026 matches will be donated to support education and community projects across the globe.
The halftime show itself is being produced by Global Citizen in partnership with Live Nation and Done + Dusted.
Sesame Street Joins the Celebration
Adding another family-friendly element to the production, beloved characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets will also appear during the show.
Their participation reinforces the event’s central message of ensuring children everywhere have access to quality education.
Supporting Communities Around the World
In May 2026, FIFA and Global Citizen announced the first group of organizations to receive grants from the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, supporting education and football programs in underserved communities across 10 countries.
The initiative focuses on expanding educational opportunities through community-led programs that combine learning, sport and local engagement.
The Fund’s non-fiduciary advisory board includes Gianni Infantino, Hugh Evans, Shakira, Hugh Jackman, Ivanka Trump, The Weeknd, Serena Williams, Kaká, and Jim DeMare.
Meanwhile, throughout the Round of 16, Quarter-finals, and Semi-finals, players will wear the Unite for Education sleeve patch to raise awareness for education-focused initiatives, including the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, the FIFA Football for Schools Programme, and FIFA Foundation education projects.
With some of the world’s biggest music stars joining forces for the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, the event promises to deliver not only unforgettable entertainment but also a lasting impact that extends well beyond the final whistle.
