Keke Palmer is ready to take over The Voice.

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, NBC announced that season 31 of The Voice will feature several new twists including Carson Daly taking a step back from hosting for the first time — and Palmer stepping in.

“That’s right. It’s true. I’m hosting The Voice. I’ll see you guys there,” Palmer, 32, said in a video on Instagram.

Though Daly — who has been a part of the show since its inaugural season — isn’t hosting, he will still serve as a producer.

This season, the singing competition show is switching things up to The Voice: Celebrity. In its newest iteration, the series “swaps undiscovered talent for a wide range of celebrities” including actors, influencers, athletes, comedians and reality TV stars. The contestants will compete to become the first celebrity champion.

Additionally, Joe Jonas will be making his coaching debut alongside returners Queen Latifah and Riley Green.

To celebrate his debut, The Voice shared a silly video on social media where Jonas, 36, created a guest list — and left Palmer out of it.

“New head of security 🤝 new Coach! Joe Jonas joins The Voice Season 31 coming in 2027 on NBC,” the caption read.

New features on The Voice: Celebrity include a Voice Boot Camp, which gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look as celebrities prepare for their Blind Auditions, while a VIP Room brings the contestants together to watch the auditions in real time.

Later in the competition, the Workroom will offer another window into the process of artists strategizing, rehearsing and preparing themselves for the Battles.

Daly celebrated The Voice: Celebrity in an Instagram post on Tuesday, calling Palmer a “triple threat queen” who is the “perfect” person to serve as the host of the new series. “I’m so grateful she carved out the time in her busy career to help us out. 🙏We’re all big fans & welcome her to the family,” he wrote in part.

He reiterated that after hosting every episode for 30 seasons over 16 years, he is not leaving The Voice. Along with producing The Voice: Celebrity, Daly said he will be “helping it launch from behind the scenes.”

Before The Voice: Celebrity — which will air in 2027 — season 30 of the series will air on Sept. 21, with Queen Latifah, Green, Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine as coaches.

Speaking with PEOPLE in April, the Maroon 5 frontman said he’s been “having so much fun doing it” since his return to the show on season 27. Levine, 47, was part of the show’s inaugural season and he coached for 16 seasons before stepping away in May 2019.

“Since I came back a few seasons ago it’s just been a blast and I’m super happy to keep it going as long as they’ll have me,” he said.
