Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are celebrating a joyful new chapter after welcoming their third child together. The couple’s first daughter was born on Monday, August 3, making sons August and Ernest proud big brothers.
The happy news was officially announced by the British royal family on Tuesday, August 4, one day after the baby arrived at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.
Princess Eugenie shares the first photo of her daughter

Buckingham Palace confirmed the birth in an official statement, revealing that Princess Eugenie gave birth at 6:20 p.m. on Monday, August 3.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal,” the statement said.
The newborn weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces, and the palace added that King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other members of the royal family were delighted by the news.

Eugenie also celebrated the special moment on Instagram by sharing the first photo of her baby girl.
The sweet image shows the newborn resting on a hospital bed wearing a pale pink knitted outfit and a white hat decorated with colorful prints while gently holding an adult’s finger.
Alongside the photo, Eugenie wrote, “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie,” followed by several pink heart emojis.
For now, however, one important detail remains private. The couple has not yet announced their daughter’s name.
August and Ernest welcome a little sister

The newest addition joins the couple’s two sons, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, 5, and Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, 3.
Eugenie first revealed she was expecting her third child back in May, posting a family photo that showed August and Ernest proudly holding an ultrasound picture.
“Baby Brooksbank due 2026!” she wrote at the time.
Buckingham Palace later confirmed the pregnancy, announcing that the couple would welcome another child during the summer.
Their daughter marks a special milestone for the family as she is Eugenie and Jack’s first girl after having two sons.

A royal baby born outside the United Kingdom
Unlike her older brothers, the newest Brooksbank family member was born outside Britain.
August was born in London in February 2021, while Ernest arrived in May 2023. Their sister was delivered at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal, where Eugenie and Jack have spent part of their time in recent years.

The couple married at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on October 12, 2018.
Their daughter is also the 15th great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. She now becomes 15th in the line of succession to the British throne and is another granddaughter for Sarah Ferguson, joining Princess Beatrice’s daughters, Sienna and Athena.

While royal fans have already gotten their first glimpse of the newborn, they are still waiting for one final announcement from Eugenie and Jack—the name of their baby girl.
