Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall are celebrating a love story that has lasted more than two decades.
The daughter of Princess Anne and the former England rugby player first crossed paths in November 2003 during a chance meeting at a pub in Australia — a moment that would eventually lead to a lifelong partnership.
According to Vanity Fair, Zara was visiting Australia with her brother to watch England compete in the Rugby World Cup, while Mike had gone to the same pub after being dropped from playing in the semi-final. Introduced through mutual friends, the pair quickly formed a connection.
“We became mates, really,” Mike previously told the Daily Mail. “Eventually it was one of those things where you realize you’re spending all your time with someone, and it went to the next level.”
